We now have an official blog for our floor: http://hkusthallone6f.blogspot.com You all are welcomed to post any post on this blog (non-inclusive of sensitive provoking issues and minimal vulgar words are allowed). There are a few ways of doing so. One, send your blog post to my email address and I will post it on the blog without any correction at all. Another way is to give me your gmail address so I can assign you as one of the authors of the blog and you can post freely. You can choose to post as anonymous or you can specify your name and your room number at the end of the post.
Please, post any many things as you can. At the end of the semester, the blog posts will be printed and compiled as a memory book, being put in both 6/F common room and also 809 Common Room for memories.
2) Every second and fourth Wednesday of each month will be "Open Room Day" (開放日). On Open Room Day, all residents of 6/F is kindly invited to open up the doors of their room from 8 pm to 10.30 pm. This is acting in accordance to our culture of 'Nice to Meet You' and hopefully all residents would kindly take the time to walk around the rooms of your floor mates, getting to know each other.
3) Other than blog, I encourage you all to draw or write or sketch anything that you feel you want to express on a blank A4 paper and submit to me. The A4 paper will then be scanned by me and put on the blog, and also will be printed out in the memory book by the end of this semester.
4) Sticky notes culture. After the floor committee fees collected, each 6/F residents will be given a small book of sticky notes. This is for you to stick any notes on other resident's room which functions like the "Wall-to-Wall Function" of Facebook. You are encouraged to reply to the person who stick it on your door and do not peel them off unless you have more than 8 sticky notes on your room already. Please write the date, time and room number under your message so that the recipient can reply to the sender of the message.
Enjoy your stay in 6/F and make it as memorable as possible!!! I will update you all again soon!!
Your 6/F Tutor,
